WYF — (Wednesday Youth Fellowship) September - April, the youth eat
together during Wednesday Night Supper beginning at 6:15 in the
fellowship hall followed by a time for prayer, catching up with what is
going on with friends and program from 7:00 - 7:30. Many Wednesday nights
before everyone has eaten you will find our youth delivering meals to some
of our homebound members.
Fifth Quarter- Friday nights during the Fall, after home football games, we enjoy food
and fellowship in Bell Cottage. Bring your friends and enjoy this good time for
everyone.
Special outings like bowling, roller-skating, skiing, retreats and
mission trips are planned by parents and youth throughout the year.
In the fall we enjoy bonfires and hayrides.
What kind of Outreach do we do; that is, how does our
Christianity affect the way we reach out to others?
In May 2007 we sponsored a Youth Relay for Life Team, some of our youth
went on our church's mission trip to Pearlington, MS (June 25-29), others
went to River of Life in Lincolnton (July 18-22) and recently 44 youth
from churches around Wilkes County gathered in the kitchen of our new
fellowship hall, worked with 10 adults and delivered 17l Thanksgiving
meals to seniors, homebound and others in our community. Way to go
Youth!!
Come be part of this dynamic group of Youth making a difference in our
community!
